Welcome to ValuAuto.com!!!

We are excited to bring the latest and greatest technological innovations in the automotive industry. New advancements in Green Technologies are making headway to save you money at the pump. From the latest Hybrid technologies such as the Ford Hybrid Escape, Honda Civic hybrid and the Toyota Prius. Other car manufacturers are following suit. Hybrid technology commonly called HEVs or hybrids. Todays hybrids are equipped with ICEs and electric motors. The ICE motor operates through controlled explosions that push down pistons connected to a rotating crankshaft. The force or torque is transmitted to the vehicle's wheels. The hybrid vehicle's energy is stored and powered by an electric battery. The battery is charged by a generator which is similar to the alternator of an ordinary gas powered car. Hybrids will operate either on a parallel design, a series design, or a combination of both methods.

With the parallel design the energy conversion unit and electric propulsion system are connected directly to the vehicle's wheels. The primary engine is used for highway driving while the electric motor provides added power during steep hills, during acceleration, or other periods of peak demand.

With the series design, the primary engine is connected to a generator that produces electricity. The electricity is channeled to charge the batteries, which drive the electric motor. Some HEVs are designed to utilize the series configuration during slow speeds and the parallel configuration for higher speeds such as during highway driving and acceleration. With regular gas combustion engines the energy from deceleration is wasted as it dissipates. Many hybrid manufacturers employ regenerative braking systems which recapture the braking energy and return it for storage in the battery or convert it to electricity to assist the driving engine with added power. Ultracapacitors are also sometimes employed to help extend the life of the hybrid vehicle's battery because they are better designed for collecting high power from the regenerative braking system and making it available for sudden acceleration demands.
